Guide
Short answers to the questions that come before an order.
What is an FNSKU?
An FNSKU is the code Amazon generates for a product you send to FBA. You find it in Seller Central. Type it on the checker exactly as Amazon shows it, in capital letters and digits.
What is a UPC?
A UPC is the 12-digit number under the barcode on a retail product. GS1 licenses them. We print the number you give us and we never sell or supply UPCs. If you need one, get it from GS1.
Which size should I choose?
- 2.25 x 1.25 in for an FNSKU or product barcode on a unit.
- 4 x 6 in for shipping labels.
- 1 x 2 in for a price, a SKU, or both.
Check the size and material specified for your product. Our 1000D stock is direct thermal and needs no ribbon; our 2000T stock is thermal transfer and uses ribbon on the 105SL. Run your value through the checker to compare layouts, then confirm the actual production profile before ordering.
What does "Scans" mean?
The checker draws your barcode at 203 dpi, then reads the picture back with a barcode decoder. If the text it reads is the same as the text you typed, it shows the proof. It tells you the drawing is readable. It does not tell you that Amazon or a store will accept the number.
